Great wild East is at least as big as the West which is the size of Europe, if not bigger the true size is unknown. Aside from the untouched common resources such as wood, gold, game, gems, on the East you also can find untouched titan bones, shards of the falling stars, liquid darkness, living mercury, wild griffins which made a great steed once tamed, fireflowers that is known to cure any wound if prepared correctly... You can find a lot of things.

Land of the gods on the other hand contain gods who can create the most resources they need, but perhaps the only one that is sacristy even among the gods is the divine honey that grants you eternal youth if the legends are correct.

About Nixburg locations: the Gates of the Free ones was the sacred place for the peoples who predates the Kingdom and some kind of settlement apparently was here since before that. It later was conquered and grow a little on a exiled people. And it was a key locations for those who decide to leave to the East, often spending all the money here, and as a place for those who returned with a victories and trophies.

Those live nearby the city tell pretty much nothing new. There said to be slightly more crows, but they don't spoil the crops as much and some tell they are smarter than crows of the west, like they learn new words faster. There is also less rats there and sunsets rumoured to be more beautiful. So it's pretty mundane.

And those who lives in a villages further to the east are not so easy to question:

Bellycut village is perhaps the easiest to contact with. It's a big village of those who were convicted to death sentence, but choose to go East instead. That's why they always trade before the Gates of the Free ones — by return the death sentence still awaits them. It's said to be ruled by a few bands of thugs with such big names as a Snake Eye, pirate king Billy the Black and Stinky Rose. They collect "taxes" from the other villagers for protection from wildlife which include boars, bears and wolves who are less scared of humans than the western conterparts, but also this include dragon-like creatures like wyverns (fortunately there said to be only one wyvern in the surrounding area, but that was enough for all three villages to abandon idea of breeding cattle), horned drakes of the river, giant spiders and wandering predatory vines neither of whom can be met on the West, at least nowadays. So villagers of the Bellycut simply uses doors thicker and stronger, paying their taxes and never traveling through the woods alone. The newcomers shake with every rustle for a few months but then... they manage to adapt to it. No big creature of the forest loves the open terrain of the fields, except wyvern, but it's easy to see from afar and it's apparently has not enough brains to search the prey in the house. Probably it's not the best life, but it's still life, you know.

Utopian community of New Harmony was established about ten years ago by the group of socialists, who claim to collectively own all they possession and live without a state by the commune that shares all joys and sorrows, there everybody is equal, maintain temperance in women, vine, leisure and food and work for the greater good of commune under the guidance of the Father, who is not the leader of the commune (according to its members), but rather the one who simply enjoys the most admiration due to his better experience uniformly recognised by the all members of the commune. According to them the commune of several hundred people lives in the universal agreement, never argues about anything and and makes all important decisions unanimously. They claim that everyone is free to join and that they do not face any problems that didn't wasn't overcome with their true unity of people. They claim that only in such commune you can achieve true freedom. But they didn't show the commune to anyone else, because they believe that the corrupt elites: nobility and the capital will try to destroy it, since example of such commune threats to their unjust rule, so only those who prove themselves devoted to the ideas of commune may ever enter it.

The truth is much sadder. This commune is totalitarian sect under the brand of socialism. The Father is its paranoid leader who can't be opposed in anything under the threat of severe punishment and public humiliation and any divergence of his decisions will be punished as factionalism and treason of the Socialism. "We own all collectively" means that the Father makes every decision regarding the material things. "The temperance in food and leisure" — deprivation of food and sleep, especially those who became guilty they are "expected" to sacrifice more to the good of commune.

Finally there is Green & McArthur's private village which is a commercial project of the colonisation of the East. They were not satisfied with settling just near the border between the East and the West and decide to settle a few miles further, where they found the goldmine. In a way they are following the tradition to go to the East in search of anything, but they put it in whole new level. So far it remains unclear if their adventure to the East turns to be profitable or not, but they manage to find a lot of investors and regularly buying supplies in the city for their project. It said only the most desperate came with them, and once in a while people see the train of wagons with the new settlers coming to Green&McArthur's village ranging from inspired adventurists to the people with severe diseases who have a little time left. Since they have the most guns of the three villages (no one sane will sell it to the Bellycut and New harmony has restrictions on who can have them — most people are not trusted) they are the most defended ones. So far back from the village returns a few particularly heavy coffins, but it existed less than a year and rumoured to only start the mining now. It's not particularly secret village, just being further means that you should travel a day and a night to get there or back and no one likes additional risks. Yet those villagers that came or even leave said that there they have a problem with some creature at night that can turn you into stone. They also seemed to be particularly cautious about following some strange rules like "never drink a first droplet of beer" or "always step through the door from the left leg.

I doubt you can achieve consensus in anything bigger than 50 people without pressure on someone or isolating part of electorate to not vote at all, and you can't make an assembly of reasonable size for all of Russia with 50-people representatives.

Assuming some local commune may be smaller than required for electoral district (I mean you can't deny people's right to establish a commune of just 10 people, right?), it's seems more plausible that electoral districts for general assembly would be drawn on Regional level, which as you can see in US doesn't save you from gerrymandering. That of course if you prefer to keep equal number of voters behind each seat to make sure each region has equal representation.

Its also seems impossible that all people will be anarchists all the time without totalitarian-level propaganda. I mean indoctrinated people of Black league would abandon their ideals because "now when anarchism came we see true ways!"? You mean no bastilarad would ever be in power in Tomsk? If you not banning for salon members to ever be elected its seems unlikely that they will have no supporters.

And, please, everybody claim to hate moral corruption from communists to fascists to liberal democrats to fundamentalist muslims, and somehow they all do have corruption.

It still doesn't save you from gerrymandering and I doubt that they use it in seventies. It was relatively obscure concept before the 2000 and I believe it's even more obscure in TNO.

COMMENT 3d ago

You don't need parties and careerists for gerrymandering. And since they don't have parties the method is FPTP.

So not admired because he was't successful?

COMMENT 3d ago

Considering that Assemblies are elected on first past the post system and lack of independent court Free Territory sounds like a free real estate for gerrymandering.

2

COMMENT 4d ago

Well... Yes. There were many better ways, but fortune wasn't on our side. I still believe one day Russia will became liberal democracy.

2

COMMENT 4d ago

Yeah... After you put out socialism, planned economy, dictatorship of the proletariat and all other things that make it USSR and stuff it with liberalism and civil rights. And rename it.

It's a party of populists. Both its wings claim to represent "the people" against "the state" which the R-Ds represent. The NPP-C claim that the establishment is uncaring for "common folk", want to oppress it, too allied with corporations, and too afraid of Japan. The NPP-FR simply saying that they do not give enough freedoms for states rather than minorities.

  1. Unit regain organisation slightly faster
  2. Unit uses slightly less equipment due to suppressed corruption

And it's purely South American organisation.

Do you plan tutorial for TNO?

4

COMMENT 16d ago

Well, it's rather about history and historical figures, than politics.

3

COMMENT 16d ago

It's a shame that there are so many people supporting authoritarian populism in all forms.

COMMENT 16d ago

So if presence of party or church doesn't make any differences, why ban them at all?

7

COMMENT 16d ago

Bolsheviks ban Cadets before monarchist faction even occurs. Before Civil war even started. What are you talking about?

0

COMMENT 16d ago

Pf! You still can support your political believes even without party, so what's that difference presence of party makes?

COMMENT 16d ago

Civil war seriously started only after that elections partially as a result of cracking down on it.

Turnout was 48,5% – not that low to count election illegitimate.

Soviets weren't representing all population (for example they had little to no representation of women) and Congresses of Soviets participated less than 1/3 of regional councils.

COMMENT 16d ago

I'm sorry are you really that blind?

Ok, just in case if Trump...

  1. Banned all parties but Republicans
  2. Banned all platforms within Republican Party, except its own
  3. Overthrow the election on the basis of electoral commission don't letting you change the list after the deadline
  4. Strip from the vote all former Democrates, members of BLM and those he deemed Antifa

You still would find it perfectly democratic?

Or all this things are democratic only if communists doing them?

COMMENT 16d ago

Sorry. But they DO ban all other parties. They DO ban any other platforms within their own party (reed the other my answer in the branch). They DO ban all non-state media. And they do limit severely who can enter their party and who can vote for it.

And that time when russia had real democratic election and they lost, they just crack down the whole process and said that "it doesn't count".

Of course they constantly would tell that they represented "true will of people" in their own special form of democracy, but their worlds can't be evidence of anything, after all we don't say that fascist Italy was democratic just because Musalini said that they had their special form of "authoritarian democracy" that represents true will of the people.

Tell me please what exactly it was democratic in banning all opposition to you?
